Akers, Nelson Gray

Memorial services for Nelson Gray Akers, 46, of Gladewater, will be held 
at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007, at Grace Baptist Temple in Kilgore, 
with the Reverend Don BeeBe officiating. Cremation arrangements are under 
the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.

He passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, in Gladewater.

Nelson was born September 24, 1961, in Floyd, Virginia, to Roy and Eliza 
Jane Akers, and he had been a resident of Gladewater since 1986. He was 
formerly employed by Koch Pipeline as a corrosion engineer and was a member 
of Grace Baptist Temple.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dianne Akers of Gladewater; 
son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Lacey Akers of Longview; daughters, 
Crystal Akers and Cheyenne Akers, both of Gladewater; granddaughters, 
Kilee and Kattlin Akers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Nelson 
Vest, Alice and Sherman Altizer, Katie and Nulan Sutphin, Brenda and Larry 
Hale, and Phyllis Rose, all of Virginia; and brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Roy Akers, Henry and Dallas Akers, Wayne and Faye Akers, Denton and Dianna 
Akers, Steve and Shelby Akers, George and Geanette Akers, and Noah Akers, 
also all of Virginia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Temple, Building 
Fund, 119 Peavine, Kilgore, TX 75662.
