Armstrong, Johnny Services for Johnny Armstrong, 62, of Tatum, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted White officiating. Burial will follow in Elderville Cemetery. Mr. Armstrong died Friday, November 10, 2006, at a local medical center. Services are under the direction of Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road. Johnny was born December 6, 1943, to Willie W. and Mary Gill Armstrong in Tatum. He attended Tatum School and worked in the oilfield for many years. Johnny was also a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and a caretaker for Tatum Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Henry Lee Armstrong; and nephew, Jerry "Bo" Bowden. Johnny is survived by his wife, Patsy Armstrong; son, Jonathon Armstrong, both of Tatum; daughter, Addie Armstrong of Boonesville, Arkansas; stepsons, Rickey and William Richardson; stepdaughter, April Richardson; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy Joe and Neicese Armstrong, and Tom and Jean Armstrong; sisters, Marie Armstrong, Maggie Breashears and Charlene and husband, W.C. Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, Building Fund, 10522 FM 2011, Longview, Texas 75603.
