GREGG COUNTY - MEMORY PARK CEMETERY KENNETH DEWAYNE ALFORD Services for Dewayne Alford are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Hilliard Funeral Home, Van. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at Memory Park in Longview at 2:00 p.m., following the service in Van. Dewayne passed away at the age of 18 on January 11, 2012. Kenneth Dewayne Alford was born September 27, 1993 in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He lived in both Van Zandt County and Amite, Louisiana. He worked in construction and was a Christian by faith. He loved horses and music, and enjoyed working on his truck. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Travis Harley; grandfather, Bobby Earl Alford; and uncle, Robert Earl Alford. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Roxanna & Benny McFarland; father, Kenny Alford of Amite, LA; brother, Timmy Reaves of Van; sister; Kadi Alford of Van; step-brothers, Chris McFarland of Longview and Erick McFarland of Quitman; step-sisters, Tricia Lee Griffith of Lone Star and Brittney McFarland of Arkansas; nephew, Carson Reaves; grandparents, Tommy & Sharon Harley of Van, and Patricia Alford of Amite, LA; step-grandparents, Bobbie & David Ballard of Van; uncles, Mark Harley, Troy Dewayne Harley, Randy Harley, Ronnie Alford and Jeff Alford; and many other aunts, cousins and family members. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation or the National Kidney Foundation. Pallbearers will be Timmy Reaves, Josh Harley, Aaron Harley, Tommy Harley, Trevor John-Cullen Hunter, Jared Rainey, Lance Alford and Taylor Alford.
