Baird, William Howard 


GLADEWATER -- Services for William Howard Baird, 46, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. 
Monday, July 10, 2006, at Abundant Life Temple in Gladewater, with the Reverend 
Mike McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Mr. Baird 
was born April 13, 1960, in Gladewater, to Henry Harold and Dorothy Bates Baird. 
He passed away Thursday, July 6, 2006, at his residence. He was a maintenance 
worker, volunteer fireman for Clarksville City, and member of Abundant Life Temple. 
Mr. Baird was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bates Parker; daughter, 
Darla Renee Stanford Pepper; and grandparents, Lizzie Bell and Homer William Baird, 
and William Dewey and Veleta Bates. Survivors include his wife, Janet Baird of 
Longview; children, Sara Beth Baird, Sara Nicole Baird, Melissa Ann Pepper, and 
John Luther Stanford, all of Gladewater; father and step-mother, Henry Harold and 
Juanita Baird of Gladewater; brothers, Harold Glenn Baird and Donald Lee Baird, 
both of Gladewater, and Charles Edward Baird of Hooks; nine grandchildren; and 
numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Home 
Health and Heart'sWay Hospice for their kindness and care extended to William and 
his family during his final days. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening, 
July 9, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
