Barker, Ghloe KILGORE -- Graveside services for Ghloe Barker, 88, of Kilgore, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, in the Kilgore City Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Eaves officiating. Mrs. Barker died Monday, April 24, 2006, in Tyler. Mrs. Barker was born January 31, 1918, in Oklahoma, to the late Henry and Eva Word. She was a Christian and worked as a beautician in the area for many years. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Beth Brookins of Tyler; a niece, Lisa Eaves of Tyler; and special friend, Sheila Frazier of New London. Her husband, William "Bill" Barker; her parents; and one brother, James Word, preceded her in death. There will be no formal visitation.
