Barnett, Jim Henry Jim Henry Barnett, 93, of Longview, passed away Friday, July 28, 2006, in Longview. He was born May 20, 1913, in Center, to Laborn Augusta Barnett and Ora Ida Greer Barnett. He retired from Mobil Pipeline Co. in 1975 with 39 years of service. Mr. Barnett accepted the Lord as his Savior as a young man and was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle in Longview. He was also a member of Sam Samford Masonic Lodge No. 149 for 63 years. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, July 30, 2006, at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center, with Brother Jay McCasland of North Longview Baptist Church in Longview officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Pallbearers will be members of the Sam Samford Lodge No. 149 in Center. Survivors include his son, Jerry Barnett and wife, Ruth, of Longview; daughter-in-law, Newlyn Barnett of Alvin; granddaughters, Lisa Hall and husband, Bobby, of Llano, and Laurie DeClaire and husband, Chris, of Friendswood; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Sloan, Heather Sloan, Connor Hall, Cameron Hall, Lauryn Emmitte and Andrew Emmitte; two step great-grandchildren, Griffin DeClaire and Alexander DeClaire; sister, Margie Beckham and husband, Aubrey, of Joaquin; nephews, Robert Barnett and wife, Zettie, and Donald Barnett; and a number of great-nieces and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Lee Sanford Barnett; son, James Henry Barnett Jr.; an infant son; parents, Laborn August Barnett and Ora Ida Greer Barnett; and brothers, Herman Barnett and Bernard Barnett.
