J.S. Barr Buried Today

J.S. Barr, 63 years old, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at a local barber shop 
when he was taking a bath. About two hours after he had gone to the Bath room, he 
was found dead in the tub. Mr. Barr had been in failing health a long time. He is 
survived by six children, four sons and two daughters, Brocies Barr of Cisco, Fred 
Barr of Brownwood, Jack Barr of Brownwood, Clifford Barr, Longview, Mrs. Jesse 
McAdams, Brownwood, and Mrs Garland Brown of Longview.

Funeral services were held this morning from the residence of his daughter, Mrs 
Garland Brown at 10 o'clock, Dr. R. M. Hall, pastor of the first Presbyterian church 
conducted the services, and the Masons had charge of the burial service.

Mr Barr was one of Longview's best citizens and his death has caused much sorrow in 
the city.
