At Rest From Her Labors

Mrs Frances Bass, aged 81 years, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs Pat 
Rembert in this city last Saturday morning from the effects of injuries from a fall 
about ten days previously.

The deceased was born in Pickens County, Alabama, in 1828; united with the 
Cumberland Presbyterian church when but nine years old, was married at 18 and left 
a widow at 23 with six children; was a citizen of Longview for fifty-seven years. 
She is survived by a son, Rev. W. H. Bass of Hughes Springs; two daughters Mesdames 
Margaret and Carrie Agnew, of Cisco, and a large number of grand and great-grandchildren.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Bergen and J. S. Baird from the 
Methodist church Sunday at 11 am and the remins were tenderly laid to rest in Grace 
Hill Cemetery.
