Baxter, Billy Joe 

Memorial services for Billy Joe Baxter, 73, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Sunday, 
April 23, 2006, at the Baxter's residence. Cremation arrangements are by East Texas 
Funeral Home. Mr. Baxter died April 19, 2006, in Tyler. Born February 12, 1933, in 
Zwolle, La., he was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict 
and a retired gas control mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Carol Sue Baxter; 
son, John M. Baxter; daughters, Katherine Clement, Ruby Tipton, and Ranee Edwards; 
and brother, David E. Baxter.
