Arla McIlwain Bell 
 
Services for Arla McIlwain Bell, 86, of Longview will be 2 p.m. today at Rader 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Gray officiating. 

Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery. 

Mrs. Bell died Friday morning at her residence. 

A resident of Longview since 1937, she was a charter member of Wesley United 
Methodist Church. She was active as communion streward and as a member of the 
choir at Wesley for many years. 

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Zelda) Johnston of Longview; son, 
Cecil E. "Ike" of Longview; sister, Virgie McIlwain of Waynsboro, Miss; seven 
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the American Heart 
Association or a favorite charity.
