Funeral Services for S.C. Best Held Today 
 
S. C. Best, 81, died at his home in Corpus Chrisie Saturday night at 11 p.m. 
after a week's illness. Funeral services were held from the home of his daughter 
Mrs. Jack Huffman here this afternoon at 5 o'clock conducted by the Rev. John L. 
Whorton, pastor of the First Baptist church. Interment will be in Grace Hill 
cemetery. Mr Best is survived by one daughter, Mes Jack Huffman of Longview and 
one son Foe Best, of Wewaka, Oklahoma and several grandchildren.
