Bivins, Emma Marie Martin Graveside services for Emma Marie Martin Bivins will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Memory Park Cemetery, with Dr. Rick Webb and the Reverend Jerry Turner officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Bivins was born July 4, 1916, in Denison, and she died May 29, 2006. She moved with her parents, William Clifford Martin and Florence O'Dell Martin to Longview in 1928, where she lived for the remainder of her life. Marie attended Longview schools and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, High Hopes Garden Club, Heritage Bible Study, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was creative and enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and watching many hummingbirds attracted to her garden. She had a great love for all her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her only child, Blanche Marie Bivins Bruyere, and her husband Robert. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren include: Dr. Clint Bruyere, his wife, Jayme, and their children, Bo and Julianna; Craig Buyere; and Cris Buyere and his wife, Sara, and their children, Alexis, Cristopher, and Blake. Her sister and brother-in-law are Helen and E.C. Johnston Jr,. their daughters, Decie Johnston Brookshire and Gayle Johnston Parker, her husband, Mark, and their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Martin, her son, Judge William Clifford Martin lll, his wife, Janet, and their children and grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bivins Cloninger, and brother-in-law, Bill Bivins and niece, Gay Bivins Rachel and husband, James. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall H. Bivins; her parents; sister, Grace Martin Mitchell; and her brother, William C. Martin Jr. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Frank Jackson, Dr. Gail Stockman, the Buckner Westminster Place Assisted Living and staff, Greater Hospice of East Texas, and to Hope Pollard and staff for their loving care.
