Blanks Sr., Mark 

Funeral services for Mark Blanks Sr., 84, of Longview, will be held 10 a.m. Friday, 
April 21, 2006, at the Rosewood Park Chapel Mausoleum. Burial will follow under the 
direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 
5-7 p.m. Thursday evening, April 20, 2006, at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road. Mr. 
Blanks was born February 13, 1922, in Tyler, to Dee and Mary Blanks. He died April 18, 
2006, at a Longview hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces. Mr. Blanks 
was a graduate of Whitehouse High School and a road builder who constructed roads 
throughout the East Texas area from 1949-1980. He was also the street superintendent 
for the City of Longview. Mr. Blanks was a man of faith who loved the Lord. He was 
preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, 
Lillian Blanks of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Mark Blanks Jr. and Alana of 
Longview; grandchildren, Stephanie Blanks, Kristin Blanks, and Eric Blanks; as well 
as niece, Barbara Blanks; and nephew, John Hugh Blanks. A memorial guestbook may be
