Wednesday July 28, 1926 Eleven Weeks-Old, Son of J.W. Booth Killed in Automobile Crash Yesterday Near Dallas, Texas . Mrs. Booth Sustained Injuries About Head; Alled DrunkDriver of Car Placed Under Arrest; Baby's Funeral Will Be Held Today In an automobile accident which occured Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the East Dallas pike, just opposite Buckner's Orphans Home, Horace Kenneth Booth, 11 weeks old, son of Mr and Mrs J. W. booth, was fatally injured, dying about two hours later at Baylor hospital where he was rushed for medical treatment. Mr and Mrs Booth and three children left Longview Sunday in their automobile for Dallas, Fort Worth and other Texas cities on a vacation trip. When the accident occured, they were returning from Fort Worth, enroute to Kaufman. Mr Booth, who was driving the car, saw a car, driven by an alleged drunken man from Mesquite, coming directly toward him on the right hand side of the road, and tried to avoid the accident, but his car was struck before he could determine what course to take. Mrs Booth and the baby were thrown from the car, striking the concrete pike. Mrs Booth sustained cuts about the forehead and was rendered unconscious. The baby received fatel injuries. They received medical aid at Buckner's Orphans Home, and were taken to Baylor hospital by tourists who witnessed the accident. The driver from Mesquite was arrested and placed in jail at Dallas. Funeral services for Horace Kenneth Booth, will be held this afternoon at 5 o'clock at the family residence at 506 East Methvin street, by Rev. R. M. Hall, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery. Mr and Mrs Booth have the hearfelt sympany of a wide circle of friends in their loss of a sweet and beautiful baby.
