Wednesday July 30, 1930 Mrs W. E. Booth, Pioneer Citizen Answers Call Mrs W. E. Booth died yesterday afternoon 2 o'clock at her home on East Marshall avenue from an attack of heart failure. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 5 o'clock at the residence. In the absence from the city of her pastor Rev. Jas. R. Wright of the First Christian church, services will be conducted by Re. Milford W. Castrodale and Rev. John L. Whorton. Woodie Woods was born February 17, 1860 at Peatown, Greeg county. She was married in 1887 to Willis E. Booth, prominent citizen and business man of Longview. Mr. Booth died on April __, 1915, two years after retiring from the business. To Mr and Mrs Booth were born four children, Mrs M.J. Burandt, James Willis, Thomas Edward and Aldo Booth. All of them survived except Aldo, who met an accidental death a number of years ago. Besides her three children, Mrs Booth is survived by eight grandchildren, a sister, Mrs J. D. Hoyler of Longview and a brother T. N. Woods of Port Arthur. Active pallbearers are: E. O. McWhorther, Ray Young, Reagan Wyche, Judge W. R. Hughes, Jim Cunyus, Harvey Butts and George Utzman.
