Bostick, Christine Services for Christine Bostick, 88, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006, at Longview Missionary Baptist Church with Pastors Noah D. Lee and Tony Harp officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Bostick went home to be with the Lord Friday morning. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today, June 25, 2006, at the funeral home. Christine was born on September 22, 1917, in Longview, to Taylor and Dora Loden. She graduated from East Mountain High School in 1934 and was a lifetime member of Eastern Star. Mrs. Bostick was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was very active and faithful in serving the Lord through worship and working in the church. She loved being active in the senior adult programs, and she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She had been a member of Longview Missionary Baptist Church for the past seven years, where she was very faithful in attendance. She loved the Lord and her tremendous faith kept her going. Mrs. Bostick also enjoyed traveling, especially to Colorado, and she was a member of the Good Sam Travel Group. Christine and her husband, Fred, were co-owners of Boswork Distributors for more than 50 years. She loved antiques and was the owner of Now & Then Antique Mall in Gladewater. Mrs. Bostick lived life to the fullest and enjoyed playing all types of games, bowling, fishing, and loved to cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Hubert Loden; and a sister, Versie Huckaby. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Fred Bostick; daughters, Sherry Minze and Jackie of Longview, Janie Rogers and Keith of Longview, and Nancy Horn and Christie of Weimer, Texas; son, Ricky Bostick of Lufkin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
