Mr. Dave Bowers 
 
Mr Dave Bowers, 81, years old, died at his home on North Second street, Sunday 
evening, July 10, at 8:30 o'clocl. Mr Bowers was born at Salem, Washington 
County, Indiana, January 11, 1946. He has been a resident of Longview for thirty 
years and one of the city's valuable citizens, and during the thirty years, he 
was in the employ of the Texas and Pacific railroad. He was a Mason and Knights 
Templar, and the Masons had charge of the burial services. The funeral was held 
from the home at 3 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by Rev. Wm. R. Swain. 

Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery. He is survived by his wife, a son, Arthur 
Bowers of this city.
