Boyd, Evie Valerie 


Graveside services for Evie Valerie Boyd, 94, formerly of Longview, will be 10 a.m. 
Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Grace Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Boyd officiating. 
The family will receive friends at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road, this 
evening from 6-8. Mrs. Boyd passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006, in a Tyler hospital. 
Mrs. Boyd was born October 1, 1911, to Charlie and Ellie Allen in Harrison County, 
Texas, and was a charter member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church. She moved to 
Longview in 1941 and recently moved to New Chapel Hill, Texas. Mrs. Boyd was preceded 
in death by her husband, Clarence C. Boyd, and her son, C. A. "Buck" Boyd. Left to 
cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Edna Miller of New Chapel Hill, 
Jean and Charles Carlisle of Hallsville, John Boyd of Gilmer, Ruby and Claude Smitherman 
of Longview, and Judy Rogers of Hallsville; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 
six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made
