Boykin, Opal Nadine Aldridge GLADEWATER -- Services for Opal Nadine Aldridge Boykin, 75, of Gladewater, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Clarksville City Baptist Church, with Brother Roger Gage and Greg Selman officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born September 1, 1930, in Avery, Texas, to the late Mable Greer and Ross Aldridge, she died Sunday, May 7, 2006. After graduating from Palestine High School in 1948, she became a homemaker and longtime church worker, having taught in the children's department for more than 30 years. She also did volunteer hospital work. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Columbus Boykin of Gladewater; one beloved son, Terry Boykin of Liberty City; one beloved daughter, Brenda Boykin Garcia of Gladewater; two grandsons, Brad Boykin and Nick Garcia; one granddaughter, Jennifer Garcia Jaggers; one sister, Virginia Glover Dew of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ross J. Aldridge; and sister, Betty Ruth Sneed. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Clarksville City Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
