January 25, 1912 T.A. Bramlette Passed Away In the death of Thomas A. Bramlette, which occured yesterday afternoon, Longview has lost one of her noblest citizens. The deceased was born in Pontotoc county, Mississippi, March 26, 1952, where he resided until 1897, when he moved to Longview. On February 26, 1875, he was married to Miss Annie Eliza Miller, of Pontotoc county. He was raised in the Baptist church but soon after his marriage, joined the Presbyterian church with his wife. For a number of years, he was clerk of chancery court in Mississippi, also held other important positions in that state. Since coming to Longview, he served several years as a member of the city council and for a number of years was president of the school board. He was a deacon of the Presbyterian church of this city at the time of his death, he was connected with the Southern Cotton Oil Co., of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife and thirteen children, Mrs C.K McClelland, Honolulu, Hawaii; Mrs J. F. Hamman, Fort Worth; Lawrence, Edward and Howard Bramlette, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Tom, Erskine, Paul, Jesse, Fred, Pauline and Nannie May Bramlette of this city. He also leaves eight grandchildren, a sister, Mrs Fitzpatrick of Royce City, Texas, and two brothers, Dr. E. T. Bramlette of Malvern, Arkansas, and R. C. Bramlette of St. Louis. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. J.T. Caughlly, assisted by the pastors of the other churches at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. The services will be held at the home and the remains laid to rest in Grace Hill cemetery with Masonic honors.
