Briggs, Roger L.    

Roger L. Briggs, 52, of Longview, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at a Longview 
hospital. He was born August 6, 1953, in Marshall, to Raymond and Della Briggs. 
Roger loved sports and was an avid hunter and fisherman. During his working career, 
Roger was a welder at Winston Manufacturing. Survivors include his mother, Della 
Briggs; son, Bobby Briggs; brothers and sisters, Casey and Karla Briggs, Hollis and 
Gayle Briggs, and John and Patsy Adams; eight nephews; two nieces; three great-nephews; 
and special friend, Diana Corp. A special thanks to all of the uncles and aunts who 
gave love and support. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lee Briggs; 
and son, Jerry Briggs. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday February 10, 
2006, in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. Bill Voss will officiate.
