Brookshier, Geraldine "Jeri" 

FORT WORTH -- Geraldine "Jeri" Brookshier, 67, went home to her Lord and Savior on 
March 27, 2006. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 
White Oak Baptist Church in White Oak. Jeri was born in Gladewater to Hosea and 
Eloise Hearnsberger. She graduated in 1956 from Gladewater High School and attended 
Kilgore College. She was married to her childhood sweetheart, Sammy Don Brookshier, 
for 49 years. She had two children, and one grandchild. Jeri was a Federal employee 
at General Dynamics for 14 years in Fort Worth. Mrs. Brookshier was preceded in death 
by her parents, Hosea and Eloise Hearnsberger of Gladewater; and a brother, James 
Hearnsberger of Houston. Survivors include her husband, Sammy Don Brookshier of Azle; 
son, Bruce Brookshier and his wife, Betty Jane Brookshier of Longview; daughter, Tammy 
Read, and granddaughter, Kailey Read of Azle; sisters, Betty Black and husband, James 
of Longview, and Mary Wharton and husband, Taylor of Houston; brother, Phillip 
Hearnsberger and wife, Mary Grace of Katy; sisters-in-law, Betty Chronister and husband, 
Wendy, and Jeannine Barnhill and husband, Phil; and many nieces and nephews. Jeri was a 
beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who lived her life for her family. She was a 
wonderful friend to all who knew her. Jeri was loved and will be deeply missed.
