Monday August 15, 1927 Frank B. Brown The death of Frank B. Brown, of Dallas, a former resident of Longview, which occured Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at Pines in Shreveport, caused a pang of sorrow to his many friends and relatives in this city, where he was so well known and liked, for Longview had always been his home until moving to Dallas about two years ago. His body was brought to Longview by the Welch Undertaking company, and was taken to the home of his son, James Brown on College street. Mr Brown had been in failing health for a long time and for seven weeks he had been a patient sufferer at the Pines. Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church Sunday at 5 o'clock, of which he had been a officer when he made Longview his home. Dr. Thomas L. Green of Lancaster, Texas and former pastor of the local church, cunducted the services. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Frank B Brown Jr., of College Station, James Brown of Longview; Garland Brown of Dallas; four daughters Mrs Jee Pool of Longview, Mrs Dick Martin of Kilgore, Mrs Reginald Alexander of Jacksonville, and a young daughter Laura, of four years. Three brothers, Ben Brown, C. T. Brown and E. W. Brown of Longview and a host of relatives. The active pallbearers were: J.J. Lucy, E. P. Boring, E. M. Bramlette, Searcy Birdsong, R. A. McLain, and E. O. McWhorter.
