Thursday, October 5, 1922 Life-Long Resident of Longview Dies Aftaer Protracted Illness Mrs Minnie Elizabeth Bussey, wife of E. H. bussey, 47 years old, and a life-long resident of Longview and a life long member of the Baptist church here, died at the family home on North Center street early this morning followiing a protracted illness. With her when the end came were the members of the immediate family and a large number of friends. A stream of visitors coming to bring expressions for bereaved members of the family poured into the home all day. Mrs. Bussey was 47 years old. She was born in Longview in 1874 and when only a little child became a member of the First Baptist church. She was better identified with the work of the church than any other organization in the city, having all her life been a constant and active worker. Miss M. E. Jacobs married E. H. Bussey in Longview 26 years ago. Funeral arangements had not been completed late today, but services will be held at the First Baptist church at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Mrs. Bussey is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs M. T. Jacobs, one son, Dr. Everett Bussey, all of Longview and one sister, Mrs M. W. Hopkins, of Belton, Texas. ------- Friday October 6, 1922 Impressive Funeral Held For Mrs. Bussey at 10 O'clock Today Following impressive funeral services at the First Baptist church at 10 o'clock this morning, the body of Mrs. E. H. Bussey was laid to rest in Grace Hill cemetery. Many floral wreaths were laid on the freshly heaped mound. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. A. A. Duncan, of Greenville, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Smith of the First Baptist church here. The following were selected as active pallbearers: J. F. Stuckey, J. A. Knowles, J. S. Rea, Hollie M. Lawrence, D. W. Gans, J.O. Monday, T. B. Stinchcomb, C. B. Hamilton, and E. O. McWhorter.
