Bales, Billy GLADEWATER -- Services for Billy Joe Bales, 71, of White Oak, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with Kenny Richardson officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the new White Oak Cemetery. Billy was a 32nd Degree mason and past Worshipful Master of Gladewater Lodge No. 852. Billy died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his residence. He was born August 17, 1934, in Paris, Texas. Mr. Bales served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was retired, but had owned East Texas Pump & Supply in Kilgore and Van. Billy was preceded in death by his son, Joe Bales; parents, John and Mary Bales; two brothers, J.C. Bales and Jimmy Bales; nephew, Shannon Bales; parents-in-law, A.D. and Mattie Green; brother-in-law, Mac Humphries; niece, Teresa Humphries; and cousin, O.B. Graham Jr. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Molly Bales of White Oak; son, Dillon Bales of White Oak; two daughters and their husbands, Darla and David Wallace of Gladewater, and Shari and Terry Berry of White Oak; three grandsons, John David Wallace of Huntsville, Kyle Duffee of Denton, and Wesley Berry of White Oak; one granddaughter, Lauren Berry of White Oak; one brother and his wife, James and Gwen Bales of Eagle Landing; three sisters, Dorothy Bales of Granbury, Patsy Yesel of Littlefield, and Bettye Holcomb of Abilene; two sisters-in-law, Cleo Bales of Burleson, and Lois Humphries of Littlefield; special cousins, Wanda Graham and Jerry Graham of Littlefield; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, May 10, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
