Jordan was a 15-year-old ninth grader at Pine Tree Junior High/High School. She was an excellent student, was in AGM since the second grade and had perfect attendance since kindergarten. "The Pride" recently received a first division rating at UIL Marching Contest in Mount Pleasant, and it was the highlight of her freshman year. She was chosen as "Marcher of the Week" on September 29, 2006. She was also chosen as "Auxiliary Member of the Week" at the Pine Tree 2006 Homecoming. On Friday, November 17, Jordan was so excited to have earned third chair French horn in the first high school band. She earned a position on the band's 2006-2007 auxiliary flag line, and the flag line received a first division rating and "Best In Class" award at the Vickie Bowden Mobbs Twirling and Flag Line Competition on Saturday November 18, 2006. She also received several first divisions on UIL solos and ensembles for her French horn playing over the last few years. She had planned to attend Stephen F. Austin State University to major in music and aspired to become a band director.
