Beachem, Frances M. Frances M. Beachem, 86, of Longview, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at her Longview residence. She was born September 14, 1920, in Danbury, Iowa, to George and Florence Bollig. Frances was raised in Iowa and graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in Danbury, Iowa, in 1938. She married Joseph H. Beachem on December 15, 1938. They left Iowa to live in Oregon and later went to California, where Frances worked as a secretary and retired from McClellan AFB in Sacramento, California. Upon their retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Beachem moved to Longview and made their home here. Frances was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. She was active in the American Legion Post No. 441 and the 40 & 8 as well as the Senior Bowling League. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 64 years, Joe Beachem on July 2, 2003. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Judy Walker of White Oak; grandchildren, Barbara Maddox of Olympia, Washington, Steven Walker of Olympia, Washington, Susan Rozmiarek of Liberty Hill, and Donnie Walker of Atlanta, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Viola Archer of Mapleton, Iowa; and brothers, Marvin Bollig of Lake Havesu, Arizona, and George Bollig of Dows, Iowa. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
