Brackin, D. J. "Jeff" Funeral services for D.J. "Jeff" Brackin, 87, of Bedford, formerly of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006, at the First Christian Church in Longview, with the Reverend David Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Brackin died Thursday, November 30, 2006, in Bedford. He was born July 30, 1919, in Merryville, La., to R.C. Brackin and Eudora Musgrove Brackin. Jeff was a U.S. Navy veteran and was employed by Sun Pipe Line Co. from 1946-1982, when he retired. He was a 33rd degree Mason, a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, member of First Christian Church in Longview, and a member of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. He also delivered Meals on Wheels in Longview for 15 years, and he was a member of the Pinecrest Country Club. Mr. Brackin was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry Brackin, in 1998. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ralph Senter; three grandchildren, Courtney and Brad Bedell, Todd and Lynn Senter, and Ryan and Heather Senter; and six great-granddaughters. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Senter, Todd Senter, Ryan Senter, and Brad Bedell. The family has asked that memorial donations be sent to the Organ Fund at First Christian Church, 720 N.
