GLADEWATER - Graveside services for James Leon Briggs, 76, 
of Gladewater, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007, at 
Friendship Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy Baugus officiating. 
Arrangements are by Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Mr. 
Briggs died January 25, 2007, in Longview. Born August 14, 
1930, in Goose Creek, he was retired from Spencer Harris 
Machine Shop and enjoyed fishing and sports. Survivors 
include his children, John Briggs, Nick Briggs, Sabrina 
Walpole, and Clinton Briggs; brothers, Harold Briggs, Harry 
Briggs, Paul Briggs, Roy Briggs, Jerry Briggs, and the Rev. 
Jimmy Baugus; sisters, Matty Ruth, Doris Williams, and Betty 
Jean Starks; and twin sister, Yvonne McMinn. Visitation will 
be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
