Brown, George Frank LINDALE -- Services for George Frank Brown, 66, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in the chapel of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery near Lindale under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home. Mr. Brown passed away on February 25, 2007, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Longview. He was born September 27, 1940, in Lindale, to Edwin and Beatrice Brown. Frank graduated from Lindale High School in 1959, and later from Tyler Junior College with an engineering degree. Mr. Brown retired from Stroh Brewery after 33 years of service to spend more time with his biggest labor of love, his farm. He was happiest on his John Deere tractor working on his farm and enjoyed his loving family and devoted friends. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Beatrice Brown; a son, David; and a brother, Robert J. Brown Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife and sweetheart of 23 years, Ann Brown; two daughters, Chrissi Brown King and husband, Brian, of Austin and Janice Lloyd Tucker of Austin; two sons and daughters-in-law, George A. and Anisa Lloyd and Keith E. and Crystal Lloyd, all of Longview; six grandchildren whom he adored and cherished, Madison, Darby, Austin, Mason, Reagan and Sonny; his loving brothers and sisters, Tom Brown of San Antonio, Doug and Laverne Wood of Tyler, Edwina and Jim Granberry of Lindale, Joe and Nancy Brown of Baytown, John and Carolyn Brown of Lindale and Mary and Fred Wilkerson of Lindale and Steve and Dianne Brown of Lindale; sister-in-law, Vickey Brown of Lindale; and numerous nieces and nephews that were loved. He will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend and Papaw. Serving as pallbearers will be John Brown, Joe Brown, Stephen Brown, Robert J. Brown Jr., George A. Lloyd Jr. and Keith E. Lloyd. The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
