Bell, Oscar W. Services for Oscar W. Bell, 91, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007, at Lakeview Baptist Church, with Brother Ted White officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mr. Bell passed away on Friday, August 24, 2007, at a local medical center. Mr. Bell was born October 26, 1915, in Chalk Hill, to Walter Lee and Minnie Etta May Bell. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceding Mr. Bell in death were his mother, Minnie Mitchell; his first wife, Mamie Bell; son, Rudy Bell; and grandson, Lance Bright. Survivors include his wife, Mary Minor of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Lanny and Sharon Bell of Liberty City; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Mike Wallace of Wake Village; son, Jim W. Bell of Ore City; granddaughter and spouse, Amber and Donald Currier of Liberty City; grandson and spouse, Brett and Carolyn Bell of Paris, Texas; granddaughter, Corey Graham of Longview; grandson and spouse, Devin and Cheryl Bell of Waxahachie; granddaughter and spouse, Toni and Stan Lyons of Farmerville, La.; grandson and spouse, Kenneth and Lynn Davis of Calhoun, La.; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Scott Elliot of Carthage; and aunt, Clemmie Horton of Bonnerdale, Ark.
