Brevard, Dr. Eric Lorne Dr. Eric Lorne Brevard passed away on Friday, June 15, 2007, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born April 1, 1964, in Texarkana, Texas, to Herbert and Elaine Brown Brevard. He was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Longview, where he served as first counselor in the Longview 2nd Ward Bishopric. He was a true believer and follower in Christ and in his teachings and served a two-year mission in Chile preaching the word of God. He was a partner in the Spinal Decompression Clinic of Texas in Longview and a practicing chiropractor. He graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1982, where he was active in the Bucs and band, where he played the tuba. A graduate of Kilgore College and Parker Chiropractic College, he was a former member of the Longview Police Department, the Longview Fire Department and was a paramedic. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He remained an active leader in Boy Scouts. He was also a bridge to the Hispanic community. Dr. Brevard is survived by his wife, Lori Wilson Brevard; daughter, Erica Brevard; and sons, Parker and Hunter Brevard. He is also survived by his parents; brother, Brent Brevard and wife, Patti; sister, Stephanie Brevard Leuschner and husband, Jeff; parents-in-law, Leon and Betty Wilson; as well as numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and in- laws. He had an amazing personality with a "go get it" attitude. Many people looked up to him as a role model and took his advice and opinion on many things. He was very loved and loved many people in return. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, June 19, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Blueridge Parkway in Longview. Burial will follow in Langley Cemetery in Beckville.
