Brooks, Daisy   	 

Daisy Brooks, daughter of Gus Clabe Brooks and Gertie Viola Brooks, who 
preceded her in death, was born March 16, 1915, in Woodlawn, Texas.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and united with Mount Zion Baptist 
Church in Woodlawn, Texas. Later, she became a member of East Side 
Christian Church in Longview, Texas, where she was an active member 
until her health would not allow her to continue

She departed this life on Sunday, May 20, 2007, in Longview, Texas.

She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Berthella Thomas of San 
Antonio, Texas; two sons, Ray and Nell Brooks of Longview, Texas and 
Oliver Brooks of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Earlene Blaze of 
Longview, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces 
and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will beheld at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007, at New 
Jerusalem Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. Interment will be in Jordan 
Valley Memorial Cemetery of Longview, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening, May 25, 2007, at 
Stanmore Funeral Home of Longview, Texas.
