Bullock, Rev. Pauline Guy Funeral services for the Rev. Pauline Guy Bullock, 88, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Welch Funeral Home Garden Court with Dr. Tim Watson, the Rev. Dewayne Beaty and the Rev. Phillip Fenton officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Hill. The Rev. Bullock went to be with her beloved Lord on Wednesday afternoon, May 23, 2007. A native of Gurdon, Arkansas, she moved to the East Texas area in 1945, attending Kilgore College, then earning her master's degree in music education from North Texas University, before beginning a long career teaching music and piano. She served as a substitute teacher for LISD between 1950 and 1975. The Rev. Bullock loved to sing, and was active for many years in the music program at First Baptist Church in Longview under the direction of Dr. Farr and Dr. Harlan Hall. In 1978, she began to serve as the staff pianist for the Longview Salvation Army, and retired from that position in June of 2005. The Rev. Bullock was preceded to Heaven by her husband and three of her children. She is survived by a son, Van of Longview; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Bullock; and two granddaughters, Victoria Bullock of Longview and Samantha Monkman of Hanover, New Hampshire.
