Burns, Vernadene   	

Vernadene Burns, 84, of Longview, died Monday, August 27, 2007, at her residence.

She was born September 17, 1922, in Fort Worth. Vernadene had been a volunteer and charter 
member at Longview Regional Medical Center from the time it was established.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Burns; son, Mike Burns; and son-in-law, 
Lee Alford.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patti Alford of Gilmer; granddaughter, 
Tammy Stanfill of Longview; great-granddaughter, Lacy Stanfill of Longview; and sister, 
Cymbol Lynch of Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007, at the chapel of 
Lakeview Funeral Home. The Rev. David Reeder and the Rev. Jay VanZandt will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3909, Longview, TX 75605.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. this evening, August 29, 2007, at Lakeview 
Funeral Home.
