Byars, Ica Belle Wade Graveside services for Ica Belle Wade Byars, 93, of Longview, will be at 1:30 p.m. today, June 12, 2007, at Memory Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Turner officiating, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Mrs. Byars died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at her home in Longview. Mrs. Byars was born March 20, 1914, in Cisco, Texas, to William E. and Norciss M. Wade. The family moved to Longview in 1922. She graduated from Longview High School in 1932, and married Robert E. "Bob" Byars in 1935. Ica Belle worked at First National Bank in Longview for 16 years. Ica Belle was a member of First United Methodist Church of Longview for more than 60 years. She was also a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class, First National Bank retirees, ABWA and several Senior Citizens organizations. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad, as well as volunteering for Longview's City Parks and Recreation. Ica Belle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Byars in 1982; her brothers, Arthur, Vernon and Buck Wade; her sisters, Irene Henderson, Rosa Mae Wilson, Bernyce Evans and Wilma Ottman; her nieces, Wynelle Henderson Strnadel, Shirley Wilson Rouse; her nephew, Conrad Wilson; and special friend, H.F. "Bud" Beeson. She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Col. Robert D. Henderson of Fort Worth, Richard Wade of Longview, Bill Wade of Colorado, Diana Keith of Hope, Ark., Carmen Lewis of Montgomery, Joyce Allbright of Longview, Cynthia Wade of California, Brenda Fowler of Fort Worth and Wilma Pace of Point Blank; sisters-in-law, Katherine Wade of Longview and Elsie Wade of Colorado; brother-in-law, Howard Evans of Longview; and numerous great- nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great- nephews. The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice, Rehab at Home and the staff of Colonial Village for Ica Belle's wonderful care in her final days.
