Alexander, Charlotte Ann Charlotte Ann Alexander was born on January 29, 1932 in Franklin Furnace, OH to John and Gladys Green. She was the second of 5 children. She passed away November 6, 2014 surrounded by family at her home. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, Nov. 8 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Chaplain Carey Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Charlotte grew up in Wheelersburg, OH where she graduated from high school in 1949. Soon after she met Charles Wade Alexander and they married on January 23, 1951 in Jersey City, NJ right before the air force sent him to England. Charlotte joined him in England and 6 months later the couple’s first child, Mary, was born there in 1953. The family was then sent to California where their son, John, was born in 1955. The family went back to England for a time, then returned to the US where they lived in Massachusetts and Oklahoma before settling in Ohio. Charlotte attended beauty school and worked as a hairdresser for 32 years. Charlotte and Wade moved to Texas in 1995 to be close to their Children. She was a volunteer at Good Shepherd for 18 years and was proud of her service pin she received for service over 1000 hours. Charlotte lived an amazing life, and loved it to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles Wade Alexander; her parents, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and her grand- daughter Jessica Joy. Charlotte is survived by her children: daughter Mary Alexander Carver and James Langston, and her son John Charles Alexander and wife Janet Alexander; she is also survived by her granddaughter Jonna Alexander Goodan and partner Jennifer Radke of Longview, grandson Joshua Charles Carver and Tracy Carver of Longview; granddaughters Meagan Alexander and Ashleigh Alexander of Columbus, OH; great grandchildren Natalie Goodan, Hailey Raye Carver and Nicholas Goodan; and family member, friend, and caretaker, Colleen Muller.
