Accidental Shot Proves Fatal to Clarence Chance

Clarence Chance, 37, died in the Longview General hospital Monday morning 
from the effects of a bullet wound in the abdomen, that was accidently 
discharged early Sunday morning at a house twelve miles east of Longview.

According to Chance, he was showing the gun to friends and when he pushed 
it back into his shirt, the shirt probably caught the safety and caused it 
to discharge.
