Cheshire, Walter Lee KILGORE -- Services for Walter Lee Cheshire, 86, of Kilgore, will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home. The Reverend Earl W. "Buddy" Duggins and the Reverend Byron Allen will officiate. Interment will follow in Kilgore City Cemetery. Mr. Cheshire died Monday, January 1, 2007. Walter was born December 13, 1921, in Coleman, Texas, to the late Lee and Bertha Cheshire. He was a graduate of Kilgore High School, Kilgore College, and Texas Tech University, from which he earned his bachelor's degree in engineering. Mr. Cheshire was a pilot of a B24 during World War II, while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Laird Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion. Walter retired from Guiberson Well Service in Kilgore, what is now Halliburton. His wife of 21 years, JoAnn Cheshire; and one brother, preceded him in death. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jon Mark and Holly Cheshire of Malvern, Pa.; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Charles Jacob of Edmond, Okla.; stepson, Robert and Teresa Bagwell of Kilgore; stepson, Mark and Melody Bagwell of Kilgore; and stepdaughter, Felecia and Gary Allen of Troup. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion.
