Obituary for Nina Sue Dickard Peterson

Services for Nina Sue Peterson, 93, of Longview will be held 
on Saturday, October 18 beginning at 2pm at Winterfield United 
Methodist Church with the Rev. James Frazier officiating. The 
family would like to greet friends at Rader Funeral Home in 
Longview from 6-8pm on Friday.

Mrs. Peterson was born on March 27, 1921 to Roy and Nina Dickard 
in Hallsville TX. She became a teacher and worked in Hallsville 
and Houston before retiring and returning to East Texas with the 
love of her life, Earl N. Peterson. Nina loved music, especially 
when it was with her 2 sisters. She also enjoyed spending time 
with children, and watching sports with her family and friends. 
Nina will be greatly missed by all those that she was proud to 
call a friend.

Nina Peterson was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Nina 
Dickard, as well as her husband, Earl Peterson. She was also 
preceded by her nephew, Roy Keith Barker. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Bonnie Cain 
and her husband Shelton, and Dr Francis Dowd of Durango OK; Nephews, 
Dr Loyd D. Dowd of Tyler, Stephen M Dowd of Tyler, and Robert Earl 
Dowd of Durango, OK; she will also be remembered by her numerous 
extended family and friends.
