Chandler, Carolyn GLADEWATER - Funeral services for Carolyn Elizabeth Alexander Chandler, of White Oak, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in White Oak. Burial will be in the old White Oak Cemetery. Carolyn passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at the age of 68. Carolyn graduated from White Oak High School in 1956, and was an office manager/secretary and a piano teacher for many years. Recognized as one of the outstanding keyboard musicians in East Texas, she served as church pianist/organist at several churches for a total of 40 years. She spent a great deal of time researching and documenting the history of her families and organizing family reunions. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Olga Alexander of White Oak; and by an infant brother, George Jr. Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff Chandler of White Oak two sons and their wives, Ken and Debi Meadows of Thompson Station, Tennessee, and David and Lorenda Meadows of White Oak; stepdaughter, Nita Wyatt and her husband, Glen, and their four children of Rusk; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Zac, Emily and Daniel Meadows; Daniel's wife, Jessica; and by her two great-grandchildren, Lexy and Daylen Meadows. Carolyn is also survived by her brother and his wife, David and Virginia Alexander and their families; by special nieces by marriage, Cindy Moss and her husband, Gilbert, and Tammy Guss; and by many other beloved Chandler, Alexander and Howeth relatives and friends. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Heart'sWay Hospice, 1306 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
