CREMATION (I THINK) - GREGG COUNTY	


Memorial services for Jeffry Todd Childress, 45, of the Longview-Kilgore area will be 10AM Monday, January 5 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Visitation with the family will be immediately after the service.

Jeff was born July 10, 1969 in Irving Texas. He graduated from Kilgore High School and joined the Army soon after. He was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged. 

He was employed as an electrician by Warren Lemma Electrical Contractor at the time of his death, December 31, 2014, as a result of a tragic automobile accident. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Childress; his grandmother Jean Holloway; and his aunt, Ann Horn. 

He is survived by his sons, Kelby Childress of Longview and Chandler Childress of Hallsville, his mother and stepfather Martha and John Duey of Kilgore, and brother Wade Childress of Dallas, his beloved dog Boudreaux and numerous friends and family.

Jeff will be remembered as a loving father and son and friend. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. He had a big heart and a big smile and an undying love for life.
