Compton, Mildred Henderson Crim KILGORE - Services for Mildred Henderson Crim Compton, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery Mrs. Compton passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, in Longview. Mrs. Compton was born October 19, 1918, in Coleman County, Texas, to Kyle Reed and Eula Caroline Henderson, who preceded her in death. She owned and operated the Kilgore Beauty Shop for 35 years. Mrs. Compton was married to Connally Crim for 24 years, until his death in 1970. She would later marry Benson Compton, who passed way in 1982. After retiring, Mrs. Compton worked for 15 years as a personal sitter. She will be remembered as a loving sister and aunt who treated her nieces and nephews like they were her children. Mrs. Compton enjoyed cooking and working in the yard. Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her first husband, Connally Crim; her second husband, Benson Compton; and one brother, James Henderson Mrs. Compton is survived by three sisters, Imagene Daniel of Kilgore, Christine Villyard of Kilgore and Louise Tilley of Longview; stepson, Doug Compton of Royce City; seven nieces and nephews, William Villyard, Dwain Villyard, Diane Villyard Johnson, Sherry Tilley Carlton, Mike Henderson, Theresa Henderson Hodges and Jim Henderson; numerous great- nieces and great-nephews; as well as many other loving family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. this afternoon, May 15, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home.
