Coward, David Ward Memorial services for David Ward Coward, 66, of Longview, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at the Winterfield United Methodist Church in Longview, with the Reverend Rita Sims officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007, in Harrison County, due to injuries received in an ATV accident. Mr. Coward was born August 5, 1941, in Lufkin, Texas, and had been a resident of Longview since 1980. He was retired and was the former owner/operator of David's Auto Sales in Longview. An excellent businessman, he enjoyed raising Bonsai Trees and was an avid hunter. David was a loving father, and he particularly loved playing the role of "PooPa" to his grandson. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, John Coward of Longview, and Christina Jackson and her husband, David of Greenville; grandson, Parker Jackson; identical twin brother, Mack Coward and his wife, Linda of Lufkin; niece, Jaimie Coward; nephews, Judson and Jerrit Coward; and his two canine companions, Rocky and Jem.
