Davis, Bertha Lorena 


WEBSTER -- Bertha Lorena Davis, 94, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Gladewater, Texas, 
passed away April 29, 2006, in Webster, Texas. Mrs. Davis was born August 31, 1911, 
in Eva, Louisiana, to Henry and Mary Holland. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, E.A. Davis; daughter, Jo Ann Davis; her four brothers; and four sisters. She 
is survived by her daughter, Mary Alice and Fred Driehs; her sister, Wilhelmina Wylie 
of Vidor, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two 
great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 
2006 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 W. Harrison Road, Longview, Texas. In lieu of 
flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels Association of America, at 
www.mowaa.org.
