Davis, Jessie Faye Memorial services for Jessie Faye Davis, 78, of Longview, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at the Woodland Christian Church, with the Reverend Lisa Klaus officiating. Rader Funeral Home of Longview will be in charge of arrangements. The family will greet friends 5-7 p.m. this evening, February 7, 2006, at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis went to be with her Lord Sunday evening, February 5, 2006. She was born February 6, 1928, in Marshall, Texas, to W.L. and Kittie Parker. She married W.E. Hamburger Davis, and they were blessed with 52 years of marriage and wonderful memories of raising their four children. She always said her job as a mother and homemaker were the most important occupation in the world and she enjoyed every minute of it. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; brother; and grandson. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her four children and their spouses and her husband, Wayman E. Davis of Longview; children: Carol Lee and husband, Billy, of Longview, Larry Davis and wife, Lynne, of Gladewater, Bruce Davis and wife, Sherry, of Kilgore, and Julie Motley and husband, Tim, of Hallsville; sisters, Kathryn Parker of Marshall, and Peggy Caldwell of Kilgore; and brother, William Parker of Houston. She was "Nana" to nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and "Fessie" to numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Heart'sWay Hospice nurses, Mary Gilbreath and Gloria Johnson.
