Derington, Elrone S.  
 	
Memorial services for Elrone S. "Ronnie" Derington, 85, of 
Longview, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006, at the 
Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road. She passed away 
Thursday, December 7, 2006, at a local hospital. Mrs. 
Derington was born June 3, 1921, in Latvia, and reared in East 
Africa, where her parents were missionaries. She married Max 
Derington in 1941, and came to the United States in 1945. Her 
husband, Max, preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Derington was 
a homemaker, a gourmet cook, an avid gardener, and loved 
literature. She had gracious European charm and shared generously 
with her friends and neighbors. Left to cherish her memory are 
her daughter, Darlene Dymond of Houston; and grandson, Michael 
Dymond of Longview. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Derington's
