Durham, Ruby Bartlett PARIS -- Ruby Bartlett Durham, 87, of Longview, formerly of Paris, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Haven Care Nursing Home in Longview. Funeral services are set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006, at the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Felts officiating. A private burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Durham was born December 14, 1919, in the Cunningham Community of Lamar County, to Randall and Hopie Rosser Bartlett. She married James David Durham Sr. on August 5, 1941, in Paris. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1988. Mrs. Durham was a homemaker and longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Paris. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby Jean Durham; two sons, Jerry D. Durham and James D. Durham Jr.; a granddaughter, Rachel Durham; and six brothers and sisters. Mrs. Durham is survived by four children, Robert Owen Durham and wife, Mary of Longview, Barbara Gayle Hughes and husband, David of Brownsboro, Harvey E. Durham and wife, Xenia of Longview, and William Andrew Durham and wife, Susan of Houston; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Donwerth and husband, Buddy of Richardson; a special family friend, Danny Snyder of Atlanta, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
