Devine-Allen, Edith J.
   	
Edith J. Devine-Allen, 69, of Longview, passed away on Saturday, 
December 9, 2006, in Webster, Texas. Services for Ms. Devine-Allen 
will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Galilee Baptist 
Church, Inc., with the Rev. J.B. Dunlap officiating. Burial will 
be in Grace Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Stanmore Funeral 
Home of Longview. She was born February 5, 1937, in Gregg County. 
Ms. Devine-Allen was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Inc. She 
retired from Longview ISD after 30 years of service. Survivors 
include her four children, Sheila Maxey, Walter Devine Jr., Terry 
Devine, and Kim Devine-Mims; four sisters, Doris Tucker, Dorothy 
Thomas, Joyce Ann Turner, and Marva Gale Addison; and one brother, 
Thomas Douglas Maxey. She was blessed with seven granddaughters; 
and one great-grandson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday 
evening, December 15, 2006, at the funeral home.
