Dorsey, Denise Susan MARSHALL - Services for Denise Susan Dorsey, 46, of Longview, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2007, at Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home, with Jackson George officiating. Interment will be in Cain Cemetery of Hallsville. Arrangements are under the direction of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home. Ms. Denise Susan Dorsey passed away on October 1, 2007, in Longview. She was born October 18, 1960, in Marshall, to Wilson Adams Dorsey and Rose Marie Osborne Dorsey. Ms. Dorsey worked two years as a production associate for Alcatel-Lucent in Longview. She was a member of The Church of Christ. Ms. Dorsey was very artistic and loved animals. She also loved to participate in walks for cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Dorsey Greer; father, Wilson Dorsey; stepfather, Joe Greer; brother, Dale Dorsey; niece, Jo Anne Cheatwood; nephew, Ronnie Smith; and sister-in-law, Jane Dorsey. Ms. Dorsey is survived by her soulmate, Sandra Eich, and her children and grandchildren, of Longview; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Evans of Harleton, and Debbie Ray and Jerry of Hallsville; brother and sister-in-law, Doyle Dorsey and Linda of Tyler, and Sharon Dorsey of Hallsville; nieces and nephews, Gina Garland and husband, Jeff of Hallsville, Jerrod Ray of Hallsville, Wesley Dorsey and wife, Carol of Wiley, Stephanie Osteen and husband, Alex of Longview, Dusty Woods of New York, and Shelly Dorsey of Hallsville; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her very special poodle, Elly Mae. Pallbearers will be Bo Lothrop, Mark Rucker, Gary Nealy, Richard Molter, Jim Roberts and Ray Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Ege, Matt Friel, Christopher Cheatwood, Cody Cheatwood, Jerrod Ray, Hayden Garland, Jaxson Garland, Caleb Osteen, Christopher Eich and Joe Eich. Susan requests no suits or dresses at the funeral. "I'm being buried in my jeans, and I want everyone else comfortable too." So jeans or casual clothes please.
